This Toolkit, and its pilot process at country level, was developed and led by the UNICEF/UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), under the technical coordination of Mariam Otmani del Barrio (TDR Scientist), and overall guidance of John Reeder (TDR Director). Development of this first edition of the Toolkit was supported by TDR core contributions.
The Toolkit was prepared by a core writing team composed of Rosemary Morgan (Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA), Chandani Kharel (HERD Internationa, Nepal), Laura Dean (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, UK) and Mariam Otmani del Barrio (TDR). Responsibility for views expressed and any errors of fact or judgement rests with the core writing team.
We would like to thank Soumya Swaminathan (WHO Chief Scientist) and Diah S. Saminarsih (Senior Adviser on Gender and Youth, Office of the WHO Director-General) for their support during the toolkit development process.
We are very grateful to the following individuals who contributed to the peer review process:
